Jerusalem is well known to all of people from three religions that it is a holy city. Al-Quds is name that Omar Ben Al-khatab has chosen for it . This name has many meaning to us as Muslims. Not just it is city has Al Aqsa mosque but also it is where Mohammad peace be up him has stepped its soil and prayed followed by messengers and prophets. Not just its kiblah but it is third precious place for Muslims I all over world . Now a days Jerusalem is in a big danger.

TWINNING CLUB FROM LONDON

Hello! I'm Rebeca, student from University of Granada (Spain). During this time I'm colaborating with the organization CADFA (Camden AbuDis Friendship Association). We are involved in some activities and one of them is the Twinning Club.

Twinning club is celebrated each Monday with students (all of them girls) of La Sainte union Catholic school. We have programmed some activities to each session.

Two first sessions, we were talking about Palestine. How is the situation there and for the Palestinians as well. We showed them through an adapted presentation of Power Point.

They didn't have idea of the situation, so they were very impressed. The girls looked very interested about the talk, as well they asked some questions about.

Third session, they were reading the letters that girls from Palestine sent to them. They were exicited with the letters and the girls had a lot of things to ask. So, next session, we will get the letters of London girls send to AbuDis girls. With a lot of questions and curiosity.

We have a surprise for the girls of London as well !!! :) 

The main goal of this project is to open the girls' minds and make them aware of the real world. Just at least, to appreciate their safe life here, and maybe in the future work to end these kinds of injustices that are happening nowadays every day.

The Twining Clubs - 2018

The Twining clubs between Abu Dis  and LSU 2018 -2019

         I'm a volunteer at "DAR ASSADAQA" Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association, and during a visit to the girls in the school to discuss the possible future activities for the our twining clubs project between Abu Dis Girls School and Camden - LSU, for this year , and to share our ambitions for the twining clubs. While The Abu Dis School for girls with the faculty and students were very welcoming, and are looking forward to work with everyone involved in the twining clubs project. 

Also, they were excited to share with us what the School and the girls have done for the past weeks, as a part of the annual activities for Abu Dis School for Girls. and Were generous to share with us their latest annual activity. 

On Thursday, October 18th, 2018, the school girls with the supervision of the school teacher kefah Arikat, successfully celebrated the International Day for Heritage and The International Day of Elderly Persons in the school theater, with a combination of activities, including singing the traditional songs, recreating the Palestinian traditional wedding, poetry reading, theater acting concerning the current situation in Jerusalem and the Palestinians Prisoners, the girls scout show, and the traditional  Dabkkeh Dance. 

The School informed us that their girls were training for these activities from the start of the school year, and that they are now planning for future annual activities, which the school celebrates on the national and international level for the rest of the year, explaining to us that it's the schools role to help in raising the awareness of students on their basic rights as equal humans with the rest of the world, and towards their part in cultural resistance and building our community.
